# Sanctions Screening API

> Restricted-party screening over HTTP. Screens a name against the OFAC SDN, EU and UN

## What this is

A gate for self-serve onboarding, not a lookup tool. It is designed to be called at the
three points where an AI or SaaS platform already pauses and waits for a yes:

1. account / signup creation
2. API key issuance
3. payment and payouts

## Current facts

- Running build: 0.11.0
- Records screened: 26,564 (OFAC-SDN, EU-Consolidated, UN-Consolidated)
- List data version: refreshed daily
- Authentication: API key (`X-API-Key` header). Operational endpoints are open.
- The optional LLM cascade is **off by default**. Screening data does not leave the service
  unless explicitly enabled.

## If you are an agent

Fetch https://sanc.mooocopy.com/openapi.json for the machine-readable contract. Every
response carries `data_version` and `sources` so a result can be tied to a list snapshot.

The MCP (Model Context Protocol) server is **not available yet**. When it ships it will be
a remote streamable-http server; this file will list its URL here. Until then, call the REST
endpoints above directly.

## Not implemented yet

- OFAC 50% Rule ownership penetration (entities owned 50%+ by a designated party are blocked
  but appear on no list)
- On-chain / wallet screening for agent payment paths
- MCP server

Stating these explicitly so that no agent or evaluator assumes they exist.
